MANUFACTURER SCORECARD

Compare every quote. Score what matters. Choose with evidence.

Compare every quote. Score what matters. Choose with evidence.

A four-sheet Excel scorecard for comparing manufacturers side by side. Enter each quote, their terms, and your own scores against 20 criteria, and it produces a weighted score out of 100, a ranking, and the category averages behind it. You can change the weights so the result reflects what matters most for your product. The lowest score for each manufacturer is flagged separately with the criterion behind it, so a strong overall result can't hide a serious weakness in one area.

What do I receive with my purchase?

You'll receive one Excel file (.xlsx), containing four worksheets including a How to Use guide. The scorecard includes built-in formulas, instructions, and explanations to help you understand the criteria, scoring, and results. Your purchase is delivered as an instant download and includes lifetime access to the file.

Do I need advanced Excel skills?

No. You only need to enter manufacturer details and your own scores in the designated cells, then everything else calculates automatically. Every criterion has guidance beside it explaining what to look for, and the How to Use tab covers the scoring scale and how the weighting works.

Can I change the criteria or the weights?

You can set the category weights freely to reflect what matters most for your product, and the per-criterion weights recalculate automatically to always total 100%. The 20 criteria themselves are fixed, so if one does not apply to your product, weight its category lower.

What if I don't have information for every criterion?

Leave those cells blank. Scores are calculated from what you have entered, and if fewer than five criteria are scored for a manufacturer the sheet shows this rather than a misleading result.

How many manufacturers can I compare?

Up to five in one file. To compare more, or to assess manufacturers for a different product, make a copy of the file.

Will it tell me which manufacturer to choose?

No. It ranks them according to your weights and flags any serious weakness. A top ranking is a strong signal, but your final decision should also account for things scoring can't capture, which is what the decision log at the end is for.
